Well, it may not be sunny every day but this has been a very warm week. The sun is out and the early season winds have died down.
The Council have been resurfacing the road along the front of the campsite. It is much improved and they now look to be on the final stretch.
The BBC weather forecast has been changing all week. Currently it looks like there could be some rain on Friday afternoon, but the weekend should be mostly dry. Please check out our weather page for the up to date BBC forecast.
We will probably be full on Friday morning 23rd August. Sorry but we will not have room to take one night visitors. However, please phone ahead to confirm availability if you’re hoping to stay for the whole bank holiday weekend (or longer).
We’ve been enjoying the best spell of summer weather for the past few years – and it looks set to continue. It’s been pretty warm most days from about 6 in the morning to late evening.
We’ve added a Weather Forecast page to the site which allows you to see the BBC 5 day forecast for Newgale. To go to the page click on WEATHER just above the Newgale Campsite photo.
It’s looking good for the upcoming weekend 5-7 July.
Last weekend (June 8-9) was really sunny with hardly a breath of wind. It was shirt sleeve weather from 6.30 in the morning. A summer like that would be great for campers.
We knew that it was forecast to get wet and colder by midweek but, with the good weather appearing so stable, it was difficult to believe that it was about to change.
Well, change was definitely coming! No doubt about it. This weekend (June 15-16) has been pretty wet, windy and much cooler. It was good to welcome some of the T4 / T5 vans down again. Just a pity they didn’t make it the week before!
Last weekend saw warm weather with a light breeze and the weekend coming up looks like it could be even better. In fact the last two weeks of May brought markedly higher temperatures compared to March and April.
The rain has held off for most of May and the ground is dry. The site was busy for the bank holiday weekend at the start of the month. The weather was pretty good and we’ve had several sunny days since then.
The forecast for this weekend starting Friday 31st May is promising more dry weather other than Friday morning. With light winds also forecast, it could be a nice weekend.
Last weekend it was great to see so many T4 and T5 vans at the site. The Jolly Boys booked out the whole of the section by the electric points. Saturday we had pretty good weather.
Last weekend, April 6-7, was warmer than Easter – and dry! The cold wind was much lighter and it was quite pleasant on site. Through this week it’s been getting milder, with night time temperatures are well above freezing. We’ve had some rain this week and more is due on Saturday night.
Well done to all the campers who braved this weekend’s weather. It was dry but – like the rest of the country – very cold with biting easterly winds.
